Neighborhood Find: The Honey Stand In Lovettsville, Virginia
We were driving just outside of Lovettsville the other day and stopped at one of Western Loudoun’s local honey apiaries. It’s a simple, self-service stand, and it’s a great example of the small businesses that make our community what it is.
Right now, it’s the quiet season for the hives, and I can’t wait for the warm weather to get here so the bees can start doing their thing again. In the meantime, the stand is still well-stocked with plenty of local goods.
One thing we really appreciated is that they’re now offering a discount if you return your empty jars, which is a nice touch.
If you’re out that way, it’s worth a quick stop to support a local grower and grab some fresh honey!
